Dave Baldwin - WAC
Dave Baldwin was born in Reno, Nv. and attended
the University of Nevada where he received a Bachelor of Science in
Biology in December 1990. In January of 1991 Dave attended umpire
school in Florida. He spent the next eight years umpiring minor
league baseball throughout the country, making it to the AA level.
After being released from baseball after the 1998 season, Dave
attended his first Reno Official’s Camp in 2000 as Rookie of the
Year for the NNFOA. Five straight years of attending the Reno camp
helped Dave to be invited to join the staff of the Western Athletic
Conference. He was hired as a Side judge. The next year he was moved
to Back judge where he has worked ever since. Dave has had the honor
of working the 2007 Emerald Bowl and the 2008 Sun Bowl.
Dave is supported in his officiating career by his
better half Barbara.
